This photo of the east face of Pier 3 eastbound shows the precast pier cap beam has been set and the top of the beam is being prepared for the casting of the pier cap leveling concrete. The contractor makes extensive use of barges to establish working platforms in the water. |

This photo of the east face of Pier 4 eastbound shows that the pier cap leveling concrete has been cast on top of the precast concrete cap beam. It also shows the sloped outer column of the pier and the simulated masonry finish on the pile cap. |

This view is of the west approach to the bridge. A mechanically stabilized earth wall consisting of precast panels and tiebacks with an engineered fill has been utilized to construct the approach embankment. |
