Rt 206 Doctors Way to Valley Road project

Rt 206 is being widened to two travel lanes in each direction within the project limits beginning south of the Doctors Way intersection (Milepost 66.36) and ending approximately one half mile north of the Valley Road intersection (Milepost 68.00).

Scheduled Completion: Fall 2026


Project Details

The $42 million contract includes construction of multiple operational, safety and state-of-good-repair improvements for all highway users.

  • Widening the highway to two travel lanes in each direction, divided by a center median concrete barrier
  • Constructing jughandles for U-Turn movements at Triangle Road, Valley Road, and near Camplain Road
  • Realigning the highway throughout the project limits
  • Re-grading Falcon Road to match new grades of Rt 206. Falcon Road will be temporarily closed and detoured. The detour will utilize Opie Road and will not affect traffic on Route 206.
  • Replacing a culvert on Route 206 near Valley Road and building a new bridge over a tributary to Royce Brook to connect Valley Road to Route 206
  • Creating drainage basins within the new jughandles and at other locations
  • Upgrading lighting throughout the project limits
  • Upgrading traffic and pedestrian signals throughout the project limits
  • Building a noise wall (completed) along Rt 206 southbound between Farm Road and Doctors Way
