Photos Route 35 Cooper's Bridge over the Navesink River is a bridge replacement project. The existing bridge has four narrow lanes, two lanes in each direction, with no shoulders. The new bridge will have four wider lanes, two southbound and two northbound lanes, with each direction having a shoulder. The deck represents the two northbound lanes. When the approach is completed, traffic will be switched to the new deck. The existing bridge will be demolished to construct the new bridge that will carry the southbound lanes.
