Teamwork with NJDOT Benefits Communities
A Construction Partnering Team (CPT), established by NJDOT, comprises community leaders, traffic engineers,
representatives from local and regional organizations, and representatives from public agencies who have been pooling their resources and
expertise to address construction issues affecting the public. Four task forces -- Congestion Relief, Communication
Network, Traffic Control, Public Information/Awareness --have been established to develop solutions that best manage traffic flow, relieve
congestion, and get the word out on optional routes and construction progress. Communication between communities is working, and task forces are
holding meetings regularly.
